A 28-year-old man of Rachibana ward in Kanye, Phemelo Picture Moshe was arraigned for the second murder case of a young woman, before Kanye Magistrate court on Monday.

Moshe allegedly killed another woman while on bail pending a different murder trial he committed a year ago.

In the previous case still before Kanye magistrate court, Moshe is accused of killing Lundi Selekanyo who was 21 years-old at the time in 2022.

In a different fresh case, Moshe was arraigned this Monday, suspected to have killed a 27-year-old young lady, Keitumetse Maopinki Motlakase from Rachibana ward, whp is alleged to be his girlfriend.

According to details of the murder incidents, Moshe allegedly murdered the two women, the same way and their bodies were both later discovered in a decomposed state.

In the first murder case, the deceased Selekanyo was reported missing on December 2nd 2022.

Her decomposed body was later discovered in a bushy area behind Mokgadi primary school, after police conducted multiple searches and later arrested the suspect on December 8th who led them to the crime scene.

The deceased had told her relatives that she was going to see the accused person, however, Moshe denied knowing the whereabouts of the deceased during interrogation by the police.

He later admitted to having killed her. He then led the investigating officers to the scene where the discomposed body was found under a tree, half naked.

The suspect also indicated that the deceased’s mobile phone was at the scene of crime, however the police could not locate it.

In the new murder case, the deceased Keitumetse Maopinki Motlakase was reported missing on October 27th 2023.

The police published her on their Facebook page as a missing person. Details of the incident are that Moshe, allegedly killed the deceased, who was his girlfriend and buried her alone, in Chibana ward at his rented home.

The decomposed naked body of the deceased was discovered last week Friday, and handed over to relatives who buried her the same day.

Standing in a court dock, hiding his face, he was told that he has the right to avail a lawyer to represent him. Moshe said that he would represent himself.

The prosecutor, Inspector Mabutho Mabutho told the court that investigations on the matter are not complete, that the accused be remanded in police custody. The case continues on November 20th.
