St Louis music festival lives up to expectations
Gaborone came to a standstill this past Saturday as all roads led to Duma Fm grounds for the much-anticipated annual St Louis Music Festival. Fun lovers came out in full force to enjoy a night of good music, drinks and fashion until the wee hours of Sunday morning. It was all glamour on the inside with crisp clean sound system. Local artists including MMP Family, Sasa Klaas, Amantle Brown, Vee and Dramaboi gave revellers their money’s worth and left them begging for more. ATI, who was energetic as usual, was the star of the night as revellers sang along to his hit song, Khiring Khorong. However, Nigerian hit maker, Davido, who was the show’s headliner failed to impress, disappointing hundreds of attendants who had thronged the venue with the hope that they would be charmed off their socks by his act. While he performed most of his hits, his tepid performance wasn’t memorable. The traffic around the venue was heavy but the parking lots were well organised with security prevailing in every corner. Thanks to the metal detectors, it was near impossible for criminal elements to carry unwanted weapons into the event.
