Sereetsi takes a step further with Kgalagadi Soul Tour

Local jazz crooner Tomeletso Sereetsi alongside Mumba Yachi (Zambia) and AusTebza (South Africa) have embarked on an epic project.

The trio form a collaborative project called Kgalagadi Soul Tour 2017, which is slated to tour different parts of the continent, and will take their work to other parts of the world once they have explored Africa.

This April (April 15th), they are pencilled to play at the annual Kgalagadi Jazz Festival in South Africa. Coincidentally, this is where Sereetsi and his agent, Tumi Peter of Back to Music Agency first got ideas about bringing together different African artists into one band.

Speaking in an interview with VIBE, Sereetsi explains that their band would comprise of an international line-up with members from different parts of the continent and the world. Ideally, the band, he says will have six or 7 members on stage representing different countries.

“We are looking at having a rainbow band… We also plan to hold workshops in the different parts of the continent where we will tour,” he says.
