Pre independence bash for Serokolwane

Ahead of the defining moment when the country celebrates its Golden Jubilee, the nation is already immersed in a charm offensive to hype up excitement to the day.

And one of those many 50th pre independence events is a music festival slated for March 24th at Serokolwane lawns. Organised by Mosupi ‘Tops’Masole, Eugene Lebona, Tshepo Masilomangwe in partnership with David Abram it will feature both local and international artistes such as South African prince of Hip Hop AKA, Kelly Khumalo, Dr Malinga and locals Sasa Klass, Mosako and Dramaboi to name but a few.

Event coordinator David Abram said they had invited international artistes because locals are incapable of pulling large crowds on their own. He said perhaps it was too early for local artistes to even think of standing on their own.

Local Motswako artist, Kast has launched a campaign dubbed Hashtagfillup the stadium in which he hopes to host an exclusively local festival – where everything from organisation to performers will be done by locals.

Abram said that local artistes scheduled to perform at the March 24th festival are being given exposure to showcase their works. A normal ticket costs P150 in advance or P200 at the gate, the VVIP ticket costs P500.
