Monarch Mrepa drops power of love single and video

Francistown based rapper Clint has released his first single titled, Power of love. The single earned him the best hip hop award during the recent Northern Arts Awards which were held at Thapama hotel.

Born Clint France 30 years ago, the rapper who still keeps his day job as a floor manager at one of the retail stores in the second city, says that he started rapping when he was only six years old.  Clint says that he looked up to artists like Eminem and Tupac Shakur, who inspired him to be expressive. However, as time went on, he decided to focus more on his studies and career.

“When I had finished with my studies and found a job that I dearly love, it was only then I decided to find a good recording studio to record my very first single. I recorded the single in November 2016. It has been well received and has been played on radio stations and Btv.

Seeing and hearing my song being played on radio and television motivated me. I have already finished recording an album titled The First Chapter, which will be launched in winter this year,” he said. The album was recorded at Bonfella Records in Monarch.
