Kearoma back from successful American tour
Local songbird, Kearoma Rantao is back from the United States of America. She has had a successful stint, judging by the number of shows she performed whilst there.
And she is confident that the successful tour will go a long way in growing and expanding her brand to other parts of the world. In total she performed at five shows in Boston and Washington, DC.
“The shows were all successful despite the fact that some of them (audience) were not familiar with my music,” she says. But above all, she has shared contacts and she hopes that these contacts will translate into opportunities.
“The plan is to sell myself as Kearoma, the artist,” she explains in an interview with Vibe. Rantao also notes that one of the exciting developments from the trip is the fact that she had two interviews with NBR Radio Station in Boston, which is playing her music and will share it with other radio stations there.
She also had an opportunity to record a single with an artist from Berkely College of Music named Danielle Truocchio. The single titled Mama’s Eye is presently being mastered. “My plan right now is to spread my wings through collaborations with international artists,” she notes.
But it was not all about singing and setting the stage on fire. She also used the tour to share knowledge about Botswana, in a bid to get more tourists to visit the landlocked country. She was in the US at the invitation of the Boston African Festival
