KATLEGO BLOWS AUDIENCE AWAY AT MULTICHOICE TALENT FACTORY LAUNCH
Local singer Katlego Ntsieng left the audience spellbound at the Multichoice Talent Factory (MTF) in Lusaka, Zambia recently.
The soft-spoken singer dressed simply in a black suit, with her dreadlocks held in an up-do. When she belted out in tune, everyone fell silent, stunned by the magnificence of her voice.
She performed a love song with English and Setswana lyrics, about a lost lover who thinks they have found a better love only to want to retrace their steps.
When she left the stage, she received a standing ovation. This raw gem visibly impressed minister of Youth Empowerment, Sport and Culture Development, Thapelo Olopeng, who was part of the invited delegation.
It is true that dynamites come in small packages because although she is petite with an unassuming presence, Katlego has a bold and powerful voice. The MTF programme is aimed at unleashing raw talent on the continent and to contribute to the growth of the creative industry across Africa.
The first intake for the programme will include two individuals from each country across southern Africa.
