It's a hectic year for Jazz lady, Nnunu

One of the best female Afro Jazz singers in Botswana’s music history - Nnunu Ramogotsi - is very optimistic about the year 2016.

She is currently writing songs and getting ready to record and release her second album this year. The album will feature both international and local artists. Nnunu says she will keep the sounds of her current songs as they are really appealing to her fans both locally and internationally. It’s their melody and tone that captivate and keep fans coming back for her music. She is also working on shooting videos from her last album, Mmasonoko.

Nnunu’s favourite song is ‘Memories’ and is taken from her album Mmasonoko. It talks about a beautiful girl growing up to be a woman of dignity and beauty in and out whose parents take pride in. “This song brings a lot of memories to me,” she says. As the country celebrates its 50th Independence Anniversary this year Nnunu will not only be releasing her album and shooting the videos of the songs “Role la Tsie” and “Mmasonoko”  but will also be touring the world.

She believes that this is her time to move to the next level.  She is presently preparing for the Hamptons Jazz Festival with Women of Jazz Botswana slated for February as well as  other shows in Southern Africa that will be announced in due course. Nnunu’s music is sold in all 250 websites like iTunes and Amazon and it is doing very well.
