Gospel acapella group takes Ghetto by storm
Francistown based gospel acapella group, Skizo and the Mighty Brothers, is tipped to be the next big thing in contemporary gospel music.
If the performances that VIBE has seen of the five-member group are anything to go by, then they are destined for greatness. The group leader, Gabatwaelwe Skizo Sayanaro says that they are in a league of their own as they perform live.
“Singing live exposes our talent unlike with lip-syncing, which does not show off one’s talent,” he says. Skizo, who was raised in the Zion Christian Church (ZCC), says that he developed love for acapella music at the church.
“I was influenced by the late South Africana Gospel kingpin Lucas Xala who was popularly known as Majeremane. When I first heard him blurring his voice, I instantly knew that I would follow in his footsteps. It was in 2016 when I founded this current group that I believed to have achieved my goal of being an artist of Majeremane’s calibre.”
