Foodies in for a treat this weekend
Food lovers should brace themselves for a fun weekend of yummy treats, delicacies and entertainment for the whole family. Those in Gabs and surrounding areas can make a date for the International Food Festival and Family Fun that takes place at Lilly’s Petting Garden in Oodi on Saturday.
The unique foodies’ experience will feature sweet and savoury treats from different countries from across the world. The family orientated gig will also boast a jungle gym playground for the little ones, as well as pony and donkey cart rides, animal feeding and various games. Meat lovers trek to Lobatse for the annual Lobatse International Beef Festival, which has been running for five years now.
This year is a #SteakHolder edition that is part of a bigger food, music and entertainment experience like no other. Organisers have promised lots of beef and tons of fun for young and old. The festival is a showcase and celebration of Botswana’s rich beef heritage. While the various meat dishes will be an attraction, the evening gig also promises to draw crowds The highlight act of the night will be Lady Zamar of Collide and My Baby fame. The singer recently raked the awards at the Metro FM and SA Music Awards.
