Fans disappointed as comedy show is cancelled
Fans were left disappointed last Thursday when the comedy show in which Francis Odega was billed to perform had to be postponed.
Speaking on behalf of the organising team, Tlotlo Letsomo said that the show was postponed to a later date because Odega had encountered some travelling difficulties in Kenya. There was also a post on their Facebook page about the cancellation.
“Laugh out Loud Entertainment would like to announce that the Gerara Here Comedy Spectacle that was to be held tonight, the 30th June 2016 at the Stanbic Bank Piazza, has regrettably been postponed due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control,” they said. They apologised to the public as well as the stakeholders and sponsors.
Unfortunately, some people did not know this until they had already showed up at the venue on Thursday night and they expressed extreme disappointment when they learnt about the postponement. Letsomo said they would keep on updating people about the show and that those who had already bought tickets should hold on to them because the show will still go on although at a later date.
He also revealed that more tickets would still be sold but probably at a lower price. Odega gained worldwide exposure through his Nollywood videos and social media video vines with his “Gerara Here” tag line.
