D-Nice makes a comeback with Mamelang
Many will remember her as the larger than life lady with a lovely voice, who made a mark with her single Sunshine. She is now back with another hot single dubbed Mamelang. The single is already taking the music industry by storm and has been well-received by fans and music lovers. The Afro-soulful R&B singer tells Vibe that the single was inspired by life in general as well as the diva’s journey in the music industry. “We all know that life has its ups and downs and it is how one tackles these issues that brings out the best out of us. It is about falling, being able to pick yourself up and being strong in the process,” she explains. The talented diva says that she is grateful that the song has been well-received although it was only released a fortnight ago.
“The song is doing massively well, people really love it and it is a genre I haven’t done before,” she says. She adds that she has always wanted to challenge herself and broaden her fan base. The video for Mamelang will also be released soon. D-Nice is currently signed under Off Campus Events Management, where she says she is grateful for the results of her new project. Mamelang was actually recorded at Jay Traxys studio and it was produced by Perion of Lejebejebe fame. D-Nice looks forward to performing the song on BTV’s Flava Dome show very soon. Her first and only album released in 2013, earned her the Best R&B album gong at the BOMU awards the same year, a feat which she says motivated her to improve her craft. The album included hit singles Bua Sematla, Wena fela and Don’t you walk away. Apart from marketing her latest single, the singer is currently in studio working on her second album.
