Captain Dira reproves society in music

Dickson Diratsagae Mahupela popularly known as Captain Dira - a traditional music icon who also sings Afro Pop, Folklore, Jazz and Mpaxanga - is back with a combination of jazz and traditional music album titled  Mmakgosi.

Captain Dira says the album talks about life in general real life stories and has messages for Batswana. From dibabalase a warning to the youth on the dangers of alcohol and substance abuse to debele, a jazz piece that exults the beauty of Botswana and Mmakgosi, which derides the high divorce rate in Botswana with the refrain, where is love?, the album is a must have.

The album is produced by Tumelo Mafoko and was recorded at Dargie Digital Studios (DDS). Captain Dira has over 10 years in music and seven albums to match.
