Auditions for Mr and Miss Independence held across country

The hunt for the 2017 winners of the Mr & Miss Little Independence is on. Auditions to search for the fairest boys and girls who will represent their different areas have started, and have already taken place in Jwaneng and Gaborone.

In total, sixteen auditions will take place and will be held in different parts of the country. According to organisers, this year, they have two categories for the pageant, which are the 5-9 years olds and the 10-15 years old categories. Auditions fee for the 5-9 years old is P50, and the audition fee for the 10-15 years old is P100.

The Director of the pageant, Pearl Ntshole explains that a pageant will be held at each of the places where they will be holding auditions where representations will be chosen to take part at the Grand Finale that is slated to take place in September.

She added that the aim of the pageant is to teach the young ones about Botswana’s independence as well as their heritage. This coming weekend, the auditions will be held at Mochudi Brigade, and the following weekend (March 18th) aspiring beauty king and queens in Ramotswa will have the opportunity to try their luck.

The auditions will be take place at Brigade. On April 1st, the auditions will take place in Molepolole  (Lemepe Lodge). Other auditions are slated to take place on the following dates and places: April 8th (Lobatse Senior Secondary School), April 21st (Letlhakane at a venue that is yet to be announced), April 22nd (Francistown at the Adonsonia Hotel), April 23rd (Kasane at the BNYC Hall), April 25th (Maun at the Ruth Khama Hall), April 28th (Serowe Hotel), April 29th (Selebe Phikwe at Cresta Marang), April 30th (Palapye community Hall) and (Mahalapye Cresta Hotel in the afternoon), May 6th (Kanye at a venue that is yet to be announced) and lastly April 7th (Ghanzi at the BNYC Hall).
