Ati releases the Envelope

The year 2016 is expected to see the release of ATI’s second album entitled ‘envelope.’ According to him, it is inspired by the life of a Motswana wa sekei and is more cultural with a touch of urbanness that will be able to attract the modern day person.

He revealed that songs in the album preached a lot of positivity and that it has a mixture of different sounds. He said the album does not feature a lot of collaborations as the intention was for him to tell the stories he wanted to share with different audiences.

Furthermore, it sees him exploring new ways of experimenting with his vocals. Although the album is expected to be released at the end of this January, it will be officially launched in March at an event called World War 3 where people are expected to be dressed in camouflage, socialise and have fun.

Tickets of the event will be accompanied by the CDs and this is done as a way of pushing the CD sales as much as possible.Songs in the album include ‘influenza’ featuring Noello, chiwele which was produced by Fabi who also produced Samantha Mogwe’s ‘transition’ and ‘cassete’ to name but a few.

His first last album which featured popular songs ke lekhete and motho le motho was released in 2012. He worked on this one for three years.
