Amantle Brown brings HT and ATI on one track

Who would have ever imagined that HT and ATI would one day be featured on one track? Surprises never cease to happen, and the person who could be credited with this one is Amantle Brown of Moratiwa fame.

The sassy singer has decided to remix her current chart topping song Black Mampatile, and she brought the two heavyweights on board to give it oomph and flair.

“I appreciate ATI’s music and grew up admiring his craft. HT is one of the best rappers and he gives Motswako a great spin so I appreciate his music too; what better way than to bring two artists you admire to work with you?” she noted.

The singer sampled the master on radio this weekend. The complete song will be available this week and apart from getting airplay will be available for download. The reworked song is lukewarm and lacks the panache that one would have expected from the talented trio, but it is worth a listen and one warms up to it, especially if you appreciate the original version of the song.

The remix doesn’t move away from the original in terms of the sound, but the lyric hooks with the two rappers giving it a refreshing and catchy frame that will leave you bobbing your head. HT is a prolific rapper known for his smooth and insightful deep rap Motswako lyrics, while ATI rarely disappoints with his rough voice and catchy lyrics. Both tried their best on the jam and bring out their respective romantic crooner persona in verse.

Meanwhile, Amantle Brown also lends her awe-inspiring vocals on the track Our golden year, which includes several millennial artists like DJ Izzy, rappers Han C, Ban T Sasa Klaas and Drama Boi, who recently released his much-anticipated album, Township music.

The singer, who is currently riding the crest of a musical wave, is expected to open for Ringo Madlingozi at the Mascom Live sessions to be held at Botswana Craft next week. The eclectic stunner, who is unarguably the flavour of the local music scene right now, recently serenaded music lovers at the RnB and Hip Hop Live Sessions at Chez Nicolas in the CBD.

Her two songs Moratiwa and Black Mampatile have also been certified as the most played songs from a Botswana artist by AFSETEREO Botswana, and the first local artists to have two songs on countdown chart.
