Alfredo Mos drops 15th album

The legendary Rhumba icon, Alfredo Mos’s new ‘Selabe se tla le...’ like his previous albums, has rich messages for everyone, and he dubs it a return version lyrically. He tells Vibe that the album’s instrumentation has however raised the tempo a bit, and it has got 10 lovely songs. The title track, ‘Selabe se tla le...’ is a song written to try and warn people to use social media for the right reasons. It explains that social media platform was created for good intentions but some people make it to seem like it is problematic, as per how they negatively use it. One line of the song says; social media… Internet with Facebook, Whatspp and others aim at improving people’s social networks and business, but the problem is the users”. The album consists of life’s inspirational songs like; Maloba, Father’s Day, Mme, Pelo, Happy birthday, Ha o le teng and O a ba gopola. Happy birthday was composed with a unique sound to add oomph to it and embrace people’s birthdays through it. Alfredo shares that ‘Ha o le teng’ is a Zion hymn and they have included it to signify the presence of God. ‘O a ba gopola’ is a contemporary tribute song meant to remember all the fallen heroes in the music industry of Botswana. This is Alfredo’s 15th album apart from the other three compiled albums that the legend has also released. Alfredo regards himself as one of the pioneers of recording in the music industry. However, he laments that piracy has negatively affected the music industry. “I encourage Batswana to support their own and buy original music.” Alfredo is content that his new album to be released this week is a beautiful work and people should expect different performance with his usual signature filled with a lot of teachings. Alfredo Mos has featured different artists such a: Mangasa, Browny, Kudzi, Shaboo, Deril, Tshenolo, Charlie, Dolari, Millie and Goody. The album was recorded at Original Music Records (OMR) and Studio.
