VIVO ENERGY ON RETAIL EXPANSION
Vivo Energy rolled out its retail expansion project to grow the business in Botswana and offer more services and value to customers in all service stations.
Launching its second ‘Welcome’ retail shop at Riverwalk mall in Gaborone, Retail Manager, Bonolo Laletsang said they are undertaking an expansion plan to offer more service to their stations in order to meet and exceed their customers’ needs and expectations. “Our objective is to bring the Shell brand closer to the people of Botswana by responding to the ever changing customer needs. It is our aim as Vivo Energy Botswana to meet these changing needs and grow Vivo Energy’s position in convenience retailing in the energy sector,” Said Laletsang
She said part of the objective involves bringing news and exciting shop formats in the convenience retail space that provide customers with more options and offerings. “Through the Welcome shops, we aim to have the highest quality convenience offer in the Oil Marketing industry through providing the right product range and superior customer service,” she said. Vivo Energy was established in 2011 to take over the distribution and marketing of Shell-branded products in Africa.
Currently, the group operates a widespread network of over 75 Shell service stations across the country, offering Shell’s fuel and lubricants. The group has a network of over 2130 service stations in 23 countries and employs around 2700 people in Botswana. The company plans to open three more Welcome outlets in Serowe, Molepolole and Pilane by the end of 2019.
