CHOPPIES REWARDS LUCKY CUSTOMERS

The Chief Executive Officer of Choppies Enterprises, Ram Ottaphathu has said they are committed to improve the livelihoods of their customers by giving back goods and cash through annual promotions. Speaking during Choppies Birthday Bonanza Competition, Ottaphathu said they recognise that their impact must extend beyond consumer promotions into high impact community initiatives. “As Choppies we are delighted and privileged to serve the 188 million consumers who walk through our doors every year. Our success is deeply intertwined with the livelihoods of individuals and businesses in our communities,” he said. Choppies gave away 11 Toyota Etios cars to customers and 40 people walked away with P25 000. 00 cash. Choppies is based in Botswana and select African countries. Meanwhile, Vice President Slumber Tsogwane said government is continually working on strengthening the private sector to do business and create more jobs. “We know people are always complaining about government bureaucracy, especially on trade licenses. We need to attend to all these problems and make sure that it is easy to register a business.” Said Tsogwane. He commended Choppies for giving back to their customers through the competition, as this will also improve the economy. “I would like to thank Choppies for this good gesture. It is not because they are very rich but they want to treat their customers with dignity and improve their lives.” He said they are aware of the people’s complaints about salaries and these are the issues that must be attended to. “I know people always complain about salaries but these are the issues that we all need to attend to as the government and the private sector,” he said.
