In an effort to challenge the perception of golf as an exclusive sport and to support disadvantaged children in Botswana, the Grace World Africa Foundation, in partnership with Diagnofirm Medical Laboratories and the Botswana Golf Union, is hosting its inaugural Shoeless Golf Tournament.

The event promises to be a game-changer, emphasizing inclusivity and community engagement. The tournament, aptly named "Shoeless," symbolizes the foundation’s commitment to supporting children who face socio-economic hardships. The name highlights the foundation's mission to make a difference in the lives of those who are often overlooked. This landmark event, set to take place on September 13th, will feature notable guests, including Monica Lieving, the top-ranked Women's Division World Long Drive Champion of 2023, and Averee Dovsek, who secured the 13th rank in the same category.

The presence of these esteemed athletes, alongside Slumber Tsogwane, Vice President of Botswana, adds a distinguished flair to the occasion. The tournament aims not only to raise substantial funds but also to increase awareness about the plight of disadvantaged children in Botswana. By fostering an environment of inclusivity, the event welcomes participants and spectators from various backgrounds, breaking down traditional barriers associated with the sport. Namasiku Samunzala, Founder of Grace World Africa, expressed her enthusiasm for the event:

"Our goal with the Shoeless Golf Tournament is to demonstrate that golf can be a platform for positive change. By bringing together individuals from all walks of life and focusing on such a meaningful cause, we hope to create an event that not only entertains but also makes a significant impact."
