The first-ever Botswana Football Summit is set to take place in March of 2024, and the organizers are currently looking for partners and sponsors to help make the event a success. The summit, which will be held at the University of Botswana's Campus Indoor Sports Centre, has already attracted several distinguished speakers, and the organizers are excited to continue expanding the list.

They have said that they are in talks with potential sponsors and welcome new ones to join in making this a landmark event for Botswana football. Owe Mmolawa, co-organizer of the Botswana Football Summit, told BG Sport this week that discussions with potential sponsors were ongoing, including the main sponsor. He said that the organizers plan to unveil the main sponsor and other partners at an upcoming media launch/press conference in the coming weeks. He also stated that the organizers are open to welcoming new partners and sponsors.

“We are currently engaged in discussions with a number of potential partners and sponsors. While we cannot share the specific details of these conversations, we are committed to securing partnerships that will help us achieve the goals and vision of the Botswana Football Summit. We are confident that the event will be a success, and we are grateful for the interest and support of our potential partners,” Mmolawa said.

He highlighted that The Botswana Football Summit serves as an international platform for industry leaders to engage in discussions on the growth and future dynamics of the game. Sponsors can benefit from exposure to a

diverse and influential audience, brand visibility through various summit activities, networking opportunities with sports professionals, and association with a high-profile event that promotes the development of football.

“We are open to collaboration with additional partners who share our vision for advancing the football industry. Interested parties are encouraged to reach out, and we would be happy to explore potential partnerships,” he stated. “The response from the football community in Botswana and the region has been positive. There is enthusiasm for the summit's objectives, and people are looking forward to engaging in discussions on key aspects of the sports industry,” Mmolawa added.
