Botswana Land Boards, Local Authorities and Health Workers Union (BLLAHWU) anticipates 30 teams on their upcoming annual Local Authorities and Health Workers Sports Association (BLLAHSA) games.

Secretary General at BLLAHWU, Ketlhalefile Motshegwa tells Sun Sports that the games will be made up of different sporting codes including: football, netball, volleyball, table tennis, pool table, darts and chess. The event would be held in Selibe Phikwe from July 15th to 18th. He emphasizes that they do this under their sporting organ to promote sports and good health in the workplace. "These games are held to promote good health and wellness in the workplace, through regard for physical activism," says Motshegwa. The games would be hosted under the theme, 'You need good health, play sports'.

The event is expected to be attended by teams of various sports from the 34 Branches of the Union. Motshegwa adds that, on the last day of the games, BLLAHWU will host joint games with Botswana Sectors of Educators Union (BOSETU) as first ever inter Union games. He further shares that the annual event has always been fruitful for their members and they look forward to making it bigger and better every year, to recognize the importance of sports and wellness in the workplace.
