Concerned with the disturbing rate at which the youth continue to sell their plots, Morox Properties is working on promoting real estate literacy in Botswana.

Founder and Director at Morox Proterties, Kagiso Morokotso told The Midweek Sun in an exclusive interview that Real Estate literacy is still very low in Botswana and they exist to try and close this gap.

Morokotso said while government is allocating residential plots, more than 50 percent are instantly sold by the youth, something that shows lack of real estate literacy. Morokotso is a seasoned Real Estate professional with a strong affiliation to the Real Estate Institute of Botswana (REIB) and the Real Estate Advisory Council (REAC).

With a decade of hands-on experience, he is dedicated to delivering top-tier real estate solutions, and says they basically employ young people and train them to deliver.

Their observation is that Government has a huge skepticism in employing young people and so they intend on closing the gap by hiring them and honing them with relevant experience and expertise.

“My expertise spans asset management, property valuation, consultancy, and maintenance and so this benefit us in the sense that we give similar training to our staff members,” he said.

MOROX Properties was established in 2020 as a real estate company which is mandated in estate agency, property valuations and property management. Morokotso smoothly leads this company as a real estate professional with extensive experience in Property Management, Property Valuations and Estate Agency.

He has spent a significant period of his career working for PROMANCO in estate agency and valuations and has worked for Turnstar Holdings LTD as the Group Asset Manager.

Morokotso is also a part time lecturer at Baisago University in the Faculty of Built Environment, and the company’s current major achievement is that, Morokotso was recently appointed the Vice President at REIB.
