Shock as two lovers found hanging from the same tree

Councilor Tsabahule Kgotlhang of Ditshegwane says his village seems to be possessed by demons because things that happen there are spine-chilling and mystifying.This past weekend, a young man and woman believed to be lovers and both aged 18 years were found hanging by neck from a tree.It is not clear what really transpired between the couple, however allegations flying out of Ditshegwane point to possibilities of the man murdering the woman then proceeding to hang himself.“We are not really sure what happened but after hearing the news, I tried asking around and information that landed on my table is that the duo had been dating for some years.Reports say things turned sour recently after the woman allegedly found herself a new flame. She was head over heels with the new guy that she decided to end things with the deceased. When she informed the boyfriendabout her intentions to leave, he was livid! And the couple was found dead the next day,” shared Kgotlhang.From what he has gathered, parents of the lady are heavily devastated, saying one of the family elders publicly said they had long warned and advised the young girl against sexual relationships she was having.“My village appears to be cursed, we know no peace. Lovers are butchering each other in the most heartless manner ever. I do not know what we can do as leaders but there is need for serious intervention.Just recently, a man tried hacking his lover to death in Moshaweng, a village not far from here. He chopped her up and when she fainted, he assumed she had died and went on to hang himself. The lady is still recovering in hospital,” said the councilor.Confirming investigating the Ditshegwane incident, Police Spokesperson Near Bagali said a brother to the deceased man went to their cattle post to find the homestead empty. However, there were visible fresh footprints on the ground suggesting that it had not been long since his brother had left.He followed the footprints that led him to the nearby bushes. After walking for a short distance, he was met by the horror sight of what looked like a human figure hanging from a tree, with close inspection revealing that the figure was his brother’s body. In fact it was not just one dead body hanging, it was two bodies of his brother and his girlfriend.“The bodies have been taken to the hospital and awaiting post mortem. At this point, we cannot really tell with certainty what we are dealing with. Investigations will reveal in due course if it is a double murder case or a murder-suicide,” said Bagali.
