A 30-year-old wife in Boseja ward, Mochudi escaped the jaws of death in the nick of time on Tuesday when her mother arrived to find the furious husband just about to hang her.It is alleged that after dropping the children at school the husband came straight home with intentions of making the wife meet her maker then commit suicide.“He came home very angry, grabbed a rope and was ready to hang his wife. The man said he was tired and saw no point in the two continuing to live together as husband and wife because nothing was working out between them.“Luckily, the wife had informed her mother about the goings-on in her marital home. We suspect the couple had a rough Monday night of fighting and arguing and when the husband went to drop the children at school, the wife used the time to pour her heart out to her mother."The mother arrived just in time to save her daughter from the claws of her husband who was getting ready to hang her,” a reliable source close to the matter, said.A cagey Mochudi Police Station Commander Joel Masilo confirmed investigating the case.“It is still a fresh matter that was reported to us this morning, so we cannot really divulge much on the issue,” Masilo said Tuesday afternoon.He explained that the matter was reported to them around 1100hrs and at the time of speaking to The Midweek Sun late afternoon of Tuesday, the husband was still at large.“Details are still very sketchy, our team is on the ground looking for the husband, we do not really have much to share at this point. We have to wait until he has been found that is when we will understand fully what we are dealing with,” Masilo said.
