Staff members from the Institute of Development Management (IDM) Botswana campus gathered at the Bank of Botswana Grounds for a discussion on ways to improve the institution. This is the first time in eight years that all three IDM's campuses, including Eswatini and Lesotho, have come together for such a meeting.

Thato Kgaodi, the acting Director of Corporate Services at the Regional Office in Gaborone, told The Midweek Sun that the staff development program was divided into three days. On the first day, the program focused on personal development and self-discovery.

On the second day, the program focused on corporate development, including strategies for increasing the institution's visibility and delivering quality services. The three institutions also discussed ways to align their goals and ensure they were all working towards the same vision.

The final day of the program focused on relaxation and friendly competition. Activities included aerobics, athletics, an egg and spoon relay, and a soccer game. This allowed the participants to take a break from work and enjoy some friendly competition.

Kgaodi said the staff development program was designed to help the staff reflect on their journey, identify ways to move forward, and find new ways to market the institution. Kgaodi said the message from their regional director to the participants emphasized the importance of collaboration and supporting each other, as well as sharing experiences and challenges. He expressed hope that the program would be beneficial to all involved.
