A 40-year-old teacher at Sefhare Junior Secondary School has been arrested on allegations of sexually assaulting a male student after promising him a Samsung phone. The incident took place on the night of July 6.
According to reports, the suspect encountered the victim and his friend, both 17-year-old form three students, at a bar in Tshepong. The teacher offered to buy them Black Label beer, which they accepted, and they continued drinking until closing time.
The suspect then asked the boys to accompany him to his house, claiming he was new to Sefhare and needed directions. He bought more drinks, and they continued drinking at his house before falling asleep there.
During the night, the suspect allegedly promised the 17-year-old boy a Samsung phone in exchange for sex. The boy agreed, and they had anal sex. The next morning, the boys left the house.
The incident came to light when other students learned about it, and one of them reported it to a teacher who then reported the matter to the Sefhare police.
The suspect was arrested, and investigations are still ongoing.
