Prince Tom recently collaborated with Grand Palm for an exhibition titled Ballad of a Butterfly at the well-known hotel that will run for a year.
The exhibition started on 22 October 2022.
Prince Tom who is a fine artist, describes himself as a dedicated full time Creative Artist BA (hons) Industrial Design nature lover, healer and a mystic man. He currently specialises in acrylic and oil paintings on canvas, pencil and charcoal drawings, mural works and clothes customisation.
The 25-year-old said that he is grateful that he will host his first solo exhibition, which is a rare achievement for many artists in Botswana who are restricted by financial constraints.
Prince Tom explained that solo exhibitions are not common locally so he is proud of himself for the impact that he is bringing to the local art industry. He further expressed hope that the next generation of artists will be inspired to know that he gets inspired and know that it is possible. He also acknowledged that he loves his fellow people and that his art has always been well-defined with great reverence, which makes him feel he is doing the right thing.
He further said that like most local artists, he has faced many challenges in his line of career but that did not demoralise him. "When one has been bestowed with massive talent, then they have also faced many challenges in his line of career but that did not demoralise him," he said.
