Kasane Annual 4x4 and Business Expo Show is a brand new concept for motor lovers, and the event is also the first of its kind to be launched in the Chobe Region.
Event Founder and Promoter, Michael Sauto told Vibe that this is one exceptional event where business mixes with pleasure to give people in the region an opportunity to unwind and mingle. There are a variety of entertainment activities lined up for the occasion, including; cultural dance festival, dinner cruise, crowning of Mr and Miss 4x4 2023, as well as music festival where different renowned artistes would perform.
“This is a Southern African Business Expo & 4x4 challenge that will be held every first week of November every year in kasane, and its main mandate is to invite all Southern African businesses whether tourism based or not to come and showcase their services,” he said, emphasizing that they also wish to promote 4x4 vehicles used on off-road terreins.
4x4 activities for the event include; rock climbing, soft sand cruising, 500m rally road racing, trail mark challenge and puddle master. They have partnered with a variety of partners including Botswana Tourism, Toyota, Motospot BW, Chobe District Council, KBL, ER Emergency Medical Services and Wild View Resort, among others.
It is expected to kickstart on October 31st till 04 November 4th this year.
“This show is conducted to promote and identify the off road strength in Chobe and the Okavango Regions. They have selected the venue for this ocassion as Kasane where strong monster machines are often used on tough-road terrains for tourism purposes. The Expo is open to all kind of businesses to allow them to showcase and market their businesses and also share business ideas and expand the market across the Southern African continent.
“This show allows any individual or company mostly operating under tourism sector to register their 4x4 cars with lots of extras needed in a 4x4 car used on off road trips and only private companies, individuals, and government vehicles would be allowed for participation.
For convenience purposes they also book accommodation for their guests with food and beverages included in a quote for accommodation, boat cruise, game drive, and Vic falls day trip for those who wish to go on a Day trip. Night life is also included in a secured place. Sauto said all they plan is to provide fully memorable tour for the guests attending the show. Stalls are readily available for sale for those who wish to be part of this event.
