One of iconic and nostalgic accommodation providers in Botswana, Oasis Motel, has been relaunched. Spotting fresh, upgraded look, Oasis Motel has transformed into something entirely different from what many remember it to be in the past years. Spotting a new, fresh look, there is nothing to fault with this new baby in the hotel business.

Now owned by the Travel Lodge group, the Motel, which was established in 1979, is now part of a new shopping complex mall which has breathed new life into the capital of Batlokwa. The mall houses shops such as Home Zone, Spar as the flagship store, Clicks, Hungry Lion, as well as plenty of other brands in the retail and restaurant business. On Thursday, the media were given a sneak peek of the new Oasis. And one thing that many spotted immediately is how the Motel has been moved a little further back, allowing the mall to be adjacent to the main road.

The main building of the Motel is giving the establishment a refreshed and modern look. One thing that the new owners wanted to retain as part of the history of this iconic Motel was the name, which resonates with so many people. On the night in question, General Manager Lorraine Pinagare, as well as Group Sales and Marketing Manager (Travelodge Hotels) Gerald Mzwinila led a conversation at Oasis Motel regarding the reopening. Pinagare shared her excitement, stating, “We’ve carefully blended nostalgia with modern comfort, ensuring that our guests will have an unforgettable experience.”

Oasis Motel comprises 75 upgraded rooms with Wi-Fi, modern-day charging ports, an outdoor swimming pool, and secure parking with 24-hour security. The rooms have ample space, and for those who are either looking for accommodation for leisure or work, they are in for a treat, and can certainly look forward to a good night rest.

The revamped conferencing spaces cater to every need, from the largest conference room with a 350-seating capacity to smaller rooms for intimate gatherings. These spaces have been thoughtfully designed for productivity and collaboration. “And that’s not all," added Pinagare. “The new state-of-the-art, modern restaurant features coffee and meal stations where our staff will be looking forward to serving you. Whether you’re a business traveler, a family on vacation, or attending a conference, the Oasis Motel promises a rejuvenated experience that combines tradition with innovation.”

As part of the esteemed Travelodge Group, the Oasis Motel combines top-class enthusiasm with genuine Botswana hospitality. Group Sales and Marketing Manager, Gerald Mzwinila concluded: “We are looking forward to introducing our rejuvenated property to our local and international guests. We also have a few projects underway in Francistown, Maun, and Letlhakane.”
