The hunt is on for the inaugural face of KeNo Custom Suites for the gentleman. The big news was launched in the past week, and already the competition has generated some interest from the potential brand ambassadors, who believe that they are worthy to be crowned the Face of Keno Custom Suits.
The ideal candidate is someone who embodies the qualities that KeNo Suits is best known for. The Male Brand Ambassador must possess qualities that include sophistication, elegance, and unparalleled style brand throughout the year of 2023. The lucky gentleman will be crowned based on a combination of public votes and through the panel evaluation. The winner will stand to walk away with P15 000 on October 6th, as well as other exciting prizes. As it was the case with the female version of this competition which was launched in 2021, social media is abuzz with potential brand ambassadors sharing their motivation as well as pictures that they believe truly illustrates that they are worthy of the title of Face of KeNo.
The competition is simple, candidates can tell their story using the hashtag #FaceOfKeNoMan, and the onus is on their friends, family and the general public to like, comment and share their posts to make them visible enough that they can move on to the next stage. According to the competition rules, the competition is divided into three stages, with the first stage seeing the team reviewing all entries and nit-picking the top candidates based on style, passion and representation of the brand.
Stage 2, will see the shortlisted candidates invited for a virtual interview to talk about their fashion journey, aspiration as well as ambassadorship ideas. In the last stage, the finalists will be announced, and the public can vote for their favourites, as well as the panels evaluation will determine who walks away as the winner. Browsing through the #FaceOfKeNoMan, clearly there is still some gentleman who know their way around a suit. Pencilled and looking immaculate, there is some representation of candidates who are likely going to give others a run for their money. And well as for others, they are just adding onto the numbers of entries, nothing wrong with that. To give all the gentlemen a fair chance, it's best that we live it all to the public to decide on the best candidate.
The competition comes as the company is one year shy of its tenth anniversary. Speaking during a recent media launch, one half of KeNo, Thobo Kerekang explained that the company was established in 2014 by himself and Donald Don Nnoto. Both gentlemen have a penchant for looking good hence they ventured into this suit business. The company, he explains, stands for elegance, and represents people who like looking good. The company is eyeing the continental market hence this competition. “The idea is to make it into a household name, whether you are in Lobatse, or Kasane,” he explains.
He further says that the whole reason behind the Face of KeNo is that at some point, the partners were the face of the company, but because their idea is to expand, and open up opportunities to all Batswana, they came up with the Face of KeNo. In 2014, when they started, they were targeting men, but expanded to include women, who also had their female version of the competition in 2021. “KeNo is about inclusivity,” he points out. The competition will be open for eight weeks.
