The 72nd Miss World delegates are enduring yet another hectic week as they inch closer to the grand finale. This week, they are competing in the highly anticipated Head-to-Head Challenge, where winners will secure coveted spots in the Top 40.
Taking place in Telangana, India, the Head-to-Head Challenge is a platform for the contestants to showcase their public speaking, presentation skills, and ability to think on their feet. It also gives them the opportunity to speak passionately about causes close to their hearts through their Beauty with a Purpose projects, as well as to share their personal stories. A panel of judges will evaluate their performances, and the most compelling delegates will move on to the next round.
In exciting news, Botswana is still in the running! She has advanced through the quarterfinals of the Talent Competition for Africa, and also made it into the Top 32 globally in the Sports Challenge. In preparation for these categories, she worked tirelessly with SLV Yoga, Jack’s Gym, and Propellers to boost her physical and mental readiness.
For the Talent Challenge, her choreography was crafted by the renowned Alex from Moonlight Dance Studio. In her performance, she blended Afro-fusion, Latin, and traditional dance styles, captivating audiences with her versatility and creativity. Her stunning costume was designed by Tru’D Creationz.
Other countries competing in the Talent category include Angola, Cameroon, Ethiopia, Equatorial Guinea, Nigeria, Zambia, Kenya, and Tunisia. The second round of the Talent Competition was scheduled to take place earlier this week. The winner will earn an automatic spot in the Top 40.
In addition to Talent, delegates also have opportunities to qualify through categories such as Beauty with a Purpose, Miss World Top Model, Sports Challenge, and the Multimedia Award.
As of Tuesday this week, trending queens included Miss World Sri Lanka, Cameroon, Gibraltar, Guadeloupe, and Togo.
