Impeccable Fashionz dreams of opening a stylish fashion boutique that caters for classy fashion lovers.
Founder of Impeccable Fashionz, also a fashion designer, Olerato Kalake told Vibe that she wishes to create a unique line of fashion pieces and accessories targeting all fashion trends. She emphasized that as much as the local fashion industry is growing, she wants to be recognized internationally.
“The local fashion industry is quickly growing and expanding, and this provides more opportunities for local talent and increased access to resources, as well as encourage creativity and innovation. This allows locally-based brands to develop unique and attractive products and this is where I’m going,” she said.
“My future endeavors in the fashion world include creating a unique line of fashion pieces and accessories that can be worn by anyone, regardless of gender, size, or ethnicity. My goal as a fashion designer is to build my portfolio as a professional fashion designer and create styles that are eye-catching and affordable," added Kalake.
She believes that with fashion, one learns everyday as trends keep changing and so she makes sure that she is always up to date with what’s trending. The Ramotswa based fashion designer, started designing when she was 12-years-old.
“I am a self-taught fashion designer who started practicing when I was 12-years-old. I would design my own clothes through hand sewing, making simple clothes such as skirts and tops. I later on gained more experience at Junior school where we made some patterns, using different fabrics and eventually developed a more professional style,” she shared.
What fulfills her as a fashion designer is being able to make someone feel confident and beautiful through her designs. “I am always excited about the idea of being able to mix and match different fabrics and prints to create something unique and special,” she added.
What sets her apart from other designers is the fact that she not afraid to take risks and incorporate new elements into design. She is forever grateful for the positive feedback that she receives and told Vibe that she is always open for constructive criticism as a creative who dreams to sell internationally.
