Thabiso Dibeela of Thabie d creations has expanded her product offering. The versatile designer, who is always looking for innovative ways to grow her brand, recently unveiled a cosmetics range. Currently, the cosmetics range has three products, Anti-Aging Serum, Body Butter, and Glow Body Oil.
The new range was unveiled during her birthday earlier this month. Like food, she believes that skincare is something that is consumed daily, and something that each and everyone needs. Speaking in an interview, she tells this publication that the world is now moving towards all things organic.
These products have been made with natural products/ingredients such as Lavender, and Turmeric to mention a few. She further notes that no one wants to age, hence Skincare and Cosmetics products are in demand.
“We all want to look young, and go for products such as Anti-Aging glow serums. The serum uses ingredients that includes Turmeric and lavender,” she explains. Dibeela also highlights that with the Covid-19 pandemic, most are now taking a new and different approach when it comes to their health.
At the height of the pandemic, she says that organic products were in demand. Urging Batswana to try her products, she also notes that she was also tapping into clients who might not be responding to products that were already on the market.
“Our products are locally produced in small batches,” she said. She further says that the reception from her first batch has been great, and that she is now taking the feedback and seeing how she can incorporate it into her next batch.
“We are at a pilot stage, and looking at adding other products,” she points out. To give her clients a high quality product, she has enrolled and completed online courses in Cosmetics and Skincare. According to Dibeela, the reset agenda calls for Batswana to be self-sufficient.
Giving examples of opportunities that exists, she says that the country produces Hoodia, which is instead exported to other countries where it is turned into a finished product. “Why are we not manufacturing products using it especially as it is grown locally?” she asks.
Meanwhile, she explains that one of the Franchise stores in the world of Pharmacy, health and beauty recently announced that it will now be tapping into buying from local suppliers, and stocking their products is a great development.
