GABORONE, BOTSWANA – KFC Botswana is pleased to be part of the upcoming Debswana World Athletics Relays Gaborone 26 as the event’s Official Food Partner. The event will take place at the National Stadium on May 2-3, 2026, bringing together some of the world’s top athletes.

This partnership sees KFC Botswana supporting an event that not only showcases world-class athletics, but also celebrates the energy, pride, and unity of the local community. With the global spotlight on Gaborone, the brand is proud to play a role in helping create a memorable experience for both athletes and fans.

“We’re really excited to be part of something this special,” said Alana January, General Manager of KFC Botswana. “Athletics means a lot to our country, and this is a chance for us to contribute in a way that supports both the people behind the scenes and everyone coming to enjoy the event.”

As part of its involvement, KFC Botswana will be making a cash contribution of USD 15,000 and providing 4,800 meals for volunteers over a 4-day period, bringing the total combined contribution to approximately P490,000.

During the event, KFC will manage food and catering services within the stadium, giving fans the opportunity to enjoy familiar favourites while taking in the excitement of the 4x100m and 4x400m relay events.

The partnership will also see KFC featured across various event platforms, including in-stadium branding and broadcast coverage reaching audiences worldwide.
