Standard Chartered bank has committed to providing top notch services for priority customers, a development which will match their ever growing needs.

Head of Wealth Management and Affluent within the bank, Setshwano Ngope announced at a breakfast session hosted for its clients on Wednesday. “Private banking has evolved in the past 18 months and so is the banking sector as a whole. We now offer a suite of services such as digital banking to our clients (including private clients). This helps them with reducing the time they spend in branches,” stated Ngope, adding that, they also have dedicated relationship managers.

“These managers are the first point of call for our clients,” she told the session. According to Ngope, the managers are also crucial in connecting clients to the global trade and business community. She says according to the latest Wealth Expectancy Report, more clients have reviewed their life goals, ranging from retirement, education for their kids, insurance among others. “Private clients now inquire more about insurance. They also want diversified investment portfolio,” revealed Ngope, adding that their private clients are concerned about sustainable investments. “In terms of education, they want their children to go international schools.”
