African Strategic Solutions Forum will host a first of its kind conference under the theme ‘Reskilling and upskilling Botswana’s workforce through implementing mindset change initiatives’ on the 15th May 2024 at Grand Aria Conference Centre in Gaborone.
According to the organisers, the theme of the highly anticipated event, resonates well with His Excellency, President Mokgweetsi Masisi’s Reset Agenda initiative which was launched last year. The government mindset change roadmap strategy seeks to propel the country to the attainment of Vision 2036 as well as attaining a high income status and prosperity for all.
“The development of labour force through mindset change initiatives, is key to sustaining our economy through a learned and qualified workforce,” said African Strategic Solutions Forum. The organisers have urged stakeholders to attend the conference, which seeks to play a key role in the development of industries in Botswana, and addresses challenges that needs solutions through mindset change. “It is important to host the
ASSBFo24 since we are transitioning into a digital and tech savvy future where our employees and workforce should be in touch with digital advancement and development. The conference speaks to developing workforce skill and also empowering them to be equally relevant with the transformation taking place,” said a confident Andile Mhlanga, founder of African Strategic Solutions Forum.
The one-day conference will discuss issues that centre around Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) principles which affect workforce on a daily basis. In particular, ASSBFo24 will focus on conversations that looks at human capital progression and productivity. In the advent of key technological development, such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), ASSBFo24 will also offer insights on revolutionary technological advancement which are key for the success of workforce in Botswana.
“The forum seeks to find strategies to be relevant and produce a dynamic, efficient and result oriented workforce in Botswana,” said the organisers. The meeting will address development in areas such as customer service, fintech, human resources training, mindset change, productivity and efficiency. ASSBFo24, as the forum is known in short, will give attendants a platform to develop implementable strategies which have timelines as well as solutions based.
In addition, the forum will also offer a rare opportunity for those attending to network with experts from various industries. The conference targets ministry personnel responsible for training & development, human capital and resources managers, Chief Executive Officers, Transformational Leaders, among others to attend.
