Botswana will in the coming few weeks host an institutional investors forum which discuss opportunities, emerging challenging as well coming with solutions that can keep the industry vibrant going forward.

The conference is being organised by MN Capital a provider of independent investment and market research firm. “The main focus of this upcoming Forum is to traverse investment and trade opportunities, thus promoting Botswana as an investment landing place of choice as smooth possible joint- venture arrangement between interested investors,” the group CEO, Michael Ndinisa has told The Midweek Sun newspaper this week.

The two day event will also provide a platform for stakeholder engagement with the sight of evaluating the state of the economy in Botswana and tailor-making economic recovery and development strategies for Botswana. The forum, which is follows another successful one hosted last year (2022), targets Development Finance Institutions, Pension Funds, Asset Manager, Fund Administrators and Trustees Legal & management Consultants, Government Representative, Corporates among others.

“This conference, aimed at championing economic recovery and growth agenda in the country, brings together various stakeholders over a period of two days to engage one-another on various issues impacting economic growth and afford all participants an opportunity to see the state of the Botswana economy from the various perspectives as informed by different sectors in the investment value chain.

The forum forms part of the Africa Institutional Investors Forum Country-Specific Series, and emphasizes on the holistic approach that takes into consideration the social impact as well as investment returns,” said MN Capital Botswana General Manager, Gobopaone Gaseitsiwe. The forum will be hosted in Kasane on the 17th and 18th August under the theme “Rethinking Investment Returns in the New Normal, Investing for Impact.”
