Leading global online sports betting and gaming brand, Betway has resolved technical issues affecting customers in Botswana.
After acquiring a license in February 2025, following a stringent process working closely with the Botswana Gambling Authority, Betway’s arrival in Botswana has been met with a resounding welcome.
In a statement, the company said a record number of customers have signed up and placed bets with Betway, ‘for which we are delighted and remain committed to providing our valued customers with a world-class Betway experience’.
In the recent past, the company encountered technical issues that have intermittently prevented customers from placing bets, viewing their open bets, and the ability to cash out bets. “These technical issues continue to be addressed, and we thank you for your patience,” said Betway.
‘Betway prides itself on having the best cash-out offering, consisting of early cashout, partial cash-out, and auto cash-out in the market, and strives to maintain that level of service to all our customers moving forward’
The company will continue to monitor activity and inform customers should anything change. “At this stage, we are confident that our customers will enjoy a seamless experience and enjoy all the benefits Betway has to offer,” the company further stated.
Betway has also announced that a call centre line will be available soon, and further information will be communicated in the future. ‘Responsible Gambling awareness is a key objective for the Betway brand’ . Betway’s ever-expanding African footprint includes Ghana, Tanzania, Mozambique, Malawi, Zambia, Nigeria, South Africa, and now Botswana.
