Botswana Building Society Bank (BBS) has the appointed Pedzani Tafa as the Bank Managing Director and Executive Director with effect from 4 January 2023. Tafa is a seasoned banker, whose recent appointment was as Chief Operations Officer for Botswana Savings Bank. Before then, she had spent over 12 years with Standard Chartered Bank in various senior management positions such as Cluster Head, Customer Experience Process and Governance, Country Head-Service Quality and Head of Retail Banking.
Her banking career started with Stanbic Bank 30 years ago where amongst others, she held the position of Head, Executive Banking. She holds Bachelor of Arts and Master of Business and Administration degrees from the University of Botswana as well as an associate Diploma in Banking from the Botswana Institute of Banking and Finance. BBS Bank is confident that with her strong experience in banking, Tafa will be able to steer Botswana’s only indigenous commercial bank to greater success.
