Low turnout no damper for Miss Kay’s Touch wedding expo

All roads led to the first-ever Legardenia Wedding Expo organised by Miss Kay’s Touch Event planners this past weekend, where some lucky people benefited one or two lessons, at Ba Isago University.

Dressed on point in the fashionable wedding outfits, to honour the event’s theme, people admitted that even though the first time event had a low attendance, it was informative. Six stalls; White Lace Events, Cakes For You,  Gorge Makeup, Bride All Boutique and Lady Wings and Sunrise Travels set up beautifully to showcase all that the bride and the groom with their maids need to make a wedding day complete. The stalls complemented each other and the guests had a chance to visit them and get information.

The interesting part of the day, that put people together was when the guest speaker, Pastor Joseph Mundambu stole the audience’s attention with his eloquent sermon. He preached on what’s next after marriage, teaching the youthful attendees what to expect in marriage and how to handle it. Pastor Mundambu highlighted that marriage is a gift from God and it should be cherished to avoid negativity that the evil one can bring about.

This session fascinated a lot of people, as they kept asking for the pastor’s number for future use, saying that he could save marriages from divorce through his counselling. Some people learnt about the right make up to apply on their skin, from the make-up stall, while others got to see different designs of wedding gowns. “This was just a beautiful event.

It had everything regarding weddings under one roof and for someone who is about to get married I am sure the event was cost effective. I only learnt about the event a few days before and my love for weddings got me here today. It was fun to see people who love weddings like me dressed up like that,” one lady shared with BG Style.

Event Director, Kaone Malete said that the event was meant to bring together business people that deal in weddings to showcase their stuff and for the people to get wedding services under one roof.

She said despite the low turnout, she was honoured that people left that place with a different perception of marriage, because of what the pastor said.

Their next Legardenia wedding expo will come better and improved. “The event was not as big as we dreamt, but I am glad that some people came to support this brain child initiative. This has not stopped us from dreaming big, we have more upcoming events through Miss Kay’s Touch and the company aims at being one prominent world-wide company one day,” said Malete.

The fashion show was however cancelled, hence the lower attendance of the day.
