2nd Gabs Int’l Air show, a spectacle to behold
The second annual Gaborone International Air show, held this past Sunday at Sir Seretse Khama International Airport, was more than a marvel to watch.
About 29000 aviation enthusiasts flocked the airport to see breathtaking aerobatics by both civilian and military pilots. It was not only about aircraft but there was also vehicle drifting, a motorcade of classic vehicles, Mock battle by the Botswana Defense Force as well as motorbike stunts and motocross obstacles. The highlight of the event though was the BDF F5 fighter jets, which performed a bombing simulation, which brought a fireball and dark smoke. Most people went back home well-schooled in aircraft but also in panic mode. However, their hearts were well captivated by the outstanding DISPLAYS.
