Sechele scoops 4th position

Local bodybuilder, Gontse Sechele managed to finish fourth out of 20 competitors at the recent World Fitness Federation (WFF) held in Dublin, Ireland.

Sechele said the competition presented a tough line-up and even though he finished fourth, he learnt a lot at the international competition. “I was at my best in Ireland and   I have qualified for another international competition scheduled for Brazil next year in June,” he said.

The muscle-bound Mathangwane native said his journey continues even though he has not qualified for a pro card, which would make him an elite international bodybuilder. Moreover, Sechele explained that the athlete who won in his category is a friend of his who has never finished ahead of him (Sechele).

“If he can do it then, I believe that I also have the ability.” Sechele competes in the under 1.79m, under 90kg category. He has previously raked in numerous prizes, including Mr Botswana (3 times), Mr Africa (4th place) and 2nd place WFF Universe (Florida USA) 2016 among others. Sechele counts Bokone Reticulation and Electrical Services (BRES), Citizen Design, MTS, MK Moesi and Company as well as Inner Core as some of his sponsors.
