No offers from Kaizer Chiefs - Rollers

The reigning BTC premiership champions Township Rollers this week confirmed   that they hosted a Kaizer Chiefs entourage, which included headcoach Steve Komphela, football manager Bobby Motaung and General Manager Gerald Sibeko.

Nevertheless, Rollers said the South African Premier Soccer League giants have not yet made offers for any of their players. Speculation was rife that Chiefs were after two Rollers players following the Mascom Top 8 second leg game between Rollers and Police XI.

The Kaizer Chiefs entourage was spotted at the national stadium where the game was played leading many to speculate that the Johannesburg-based outfit was after the likes of Segolame Boy and Mosha Gaolaolwe. Earlier this week, the popular SA football publication Kick off reported that Komphela, Motaung and Sibeko were scouting for talent in Botswana with both Boy and Gaolaolwe in their radar.

Speaking to Sun Sports this week, Popa spokesperson, Bafana Pheto said they have an ongoing relationship with Chiefs. Pheto explained that the Chiefs entourage requested to come and watch the Mascom Top 8 encounter since they did not have   training on Mondays.

Pheto said he was not aware of any offers made by Chiefs for any of their players.  “They left this morning (Tuesday) with the Rollers General Manager Sidney Magagane. He is in the Rollers’ technical team and he is the one who can appraise   the (Rollers) executive committee on what they spoke about,” he said. Moreover, Pheto said they expected the two teams to continue visiting one another.
