NATO OFF THE 'HOOF'
Township Rollers star defensive midfielder Ofentse Nato can now breathe a sigh of relief after stock theft charges laid against him were dropped at the Mogobane Customary court yesterday.
The former Zebras player was accused of stealing the small livestock at Mogobane village last week. The complainant has since dropped the charges in the matter. In a brief interview this week, Rollers team manager Motshegetsi Mafa said the player is now back in training and the matter has been resolved.
Nevertheless, Mafa said it was up to the Argentine coach, Rudolf Zapata to decide whether Nato will feature in tomorrow’s (Thursday) BTC Premiership game against Black Forest at the Lobatse Sports Complex. Nato was co-charged with Molatlhegi Tlhage.
The robust middle fielder has played numerous teams in the South African PSL including Bidvest United and Mpumalanga Black aces. The lanky midfielder has had a spell at Madrid satellite club Atletico de Kolkata in India. The former Gaborone United player is currently playing for reigning league champions, Township Rollers. Meanwhile, it is not yet clear whether Rollers will take any action against the player regarding his recent legal issue.
