Morapedi desperate to be Centre Chiefs' head coach

Mochudi Centre Chiefs interim coach Innocent Morapedi wants to take over the coaching role at the BTC Premiership giants. Morapedi has been serving as a subordinate for a very lengthy time and he might be the right candidate for the job as he comprehends the culture of the club better.

Responding to journalists after their stalemate against Gaborone United, Morapedi said he had always wanted the job “I have always wanted this job, I just need good results, they will guarantee everything for me, but I understand that in the market what you want is not what you get,” he said. Morapedi has to first motivate Magosi players to grind good results with the squabbling dust surrounding the club.

“It’s easy to motivate these players as a parent, I have to ensure that they are doing the right thing, a lot of players are new here so it’s difficult to get results and help the team jell together.”“We are trying combinations and it’s still early into the season, we are doing (sic) several mistakes and we are trying to rectify them, I want my players to do better every game, trying to put a team together and getting positive results is no easy task,” he stressed. As he faces off with Maun based Sankoyo Bush Bucks tonight in Molepolole, Morapedi will be eyeing nothing but a win. Maximum points will work in his favour to convince Magosi that he is capable of returning the team to its glory days.
