Big sides raid minnows this transfer window

It’s all systems go for all teams in the beMobile Premiership this January transfer window as they jostle for available signatures. The transfer window has however come at a wrong time for relegation threatened teams which have been raided by the so-called big teams. Motlakase are expected to lose four of their prized assets.

The duo of Daniel Kedidimetse and national Under 20 player Gape Mohutsiwa will be joining Mochudi Centre Chiefs with another tussle looming between Gaborone United and Chiefs over the signature of another national Under 20 enterprising central defender Thato Kebuwe.

Reports suggest that Fobby Radipotsane, who groomed the player, has negotiated with Chiefs while on the other hand GU is saying they have negotiated with the parent club, Motlakase. The team’s captain Lerato Botshelo is also moving to GU.

In Maun, Sankoyo Bush Bucks have lost Jackson Lesole, again to GU, while their most influential forward who stirred controversy last season – Morris Ruzivo - has joined his former coach Mabena at Jwaneng-based Galaxy FC.

Meanwhile Kenanao Kgetholetsile has dumped Galaxy FC to rejoin his former team Gilport Lions. The Jwaneng side is now in dire need of an experienced striker in their campaign to survive the relegation axe.

Kabelo Seakanyeng has joined GU after dumping the army side BDF X1. The youthful Seakanyeng shot to prominence under former coach Letang Kgengwenyane and with his scintillating performance was a regular at national team level.

In the western part of the country Orapa United have poached Nico United’s talisman Onkabetse Makgantai, who’s been scoring crucial goals for the copper mining team.

Makgantai also played a decisive role last year when he helped Nico survive the jaws of relegation.
