BFA holds indaba

The Botswana Football Association (BFA) is expected to host its Annual General Assembly (AGA) in which a number of burning issues plaquing the association will be addressed.
One of the issues includes the removal of the BFA National Executive Committee (NEC) Member, Tshepo Mphoeng from the committee late last year. “She was removed pending a determination by the next BFA General Assembly whether her membership should be revoked, so we expect the President and the Secretary’s report to contain this boiling issue,” a source close to the matter said.
Other pressing issues include the pending financial report, “financial issues will be crucial, there is a pending financial report for the year 2017 so it should be put to the table and there should be reasons why the financial report was delayed. Interestingly we will see two financial reports at this year’s AGM.”
Evasive regional football sponsorship and the bleak and abject state of Women’s football are some of the issues that will see BFA president Maclean Letshwiti at the receiving end of the assembly. On the other hand, newly promoted clubs have complained over their exclusion from the mother body meeting this weekend, “the right to participate in such a forum has no price, attending this meeting will mean these teams gain the opportunity to shape the future of Botswana Football,” sources close to the matter said.
