Woman accused of killing boyfriend on bail

Serowe woman Kefilwe Annastacia Motladiile, who was arrested for allegedly killing her boyfriend last month, was granted bail on Thursday. This was revealed by Serowe Police Station Commander Superintendent Molefhe Molefhe in an interview with this publication on Tuesday. He said that Motladiile who is in her mid 20s, will appear for mention on January 28 next year. Supt. Molefhe pled with members of the society not to take matters into their own hands, saying they should let the law take its course. “She has been in prison and now she is out to an angry society. It is a sensitive matter, but justice will prevail,” he said. Motladiile is a suspect in the murder of her boyfriend, Moses Setabi. She is alleged to have stabbed him with a knife on September 2. Setabi, in his 30’s, hailed from north east of Botswana and was a prison officer at Serowe Prisons. He lived in Prison’s quarters with Motladiile and they had had a misunderstanding that Sunday evening. Their neighbour informed the police of the incident upon seeing him running from the house bleeding and screaming. Setabi was certified dead upon arrival at Sekgoma Memorial hospital. Motladiile is said to have run away after stabbing her boyfriend, but she was arrested that same night.
