Progressive Institute hold 4th industrial revolution discourse
As globe dialogue on 4th industrial revolution rages on, local events organiser Progressive Institute (PI), through the annual Career Elevation Summit, has vowed to bring Botswana at par with her peers.
“We want to trigger conversation with the private and public sector on how Botswana positions herself in this era (4th industrial revolution) on the global stage,” said Mmoloki Mmolotsi, PI Chief Executive Officer.
Mmolotsi said the 2018 Career Elevation Summit slated for next month is expected to inspire the country to dialogue on the 4th industrial revolution trends.
This year’s summit billed to run under the banner: ‘Building a Thriving Career in a Disrupted World of Work’ aims to ignite radical innovation, liberate true potential and accelerate execution of 4th industrial revolution activities.
According to the organisers, the 3rd Career Elevation Summit will also attract renowned local and international speakers who include among them South African Lawyer, Professor Thuli Madonsela; Pravin Rajpal, Chief Executive Officer of Innovationext, India, a global innovation thought leader; Sello Hatang, Chief Executive Officer of Mandela Foundation and Sbu Leope, author, entertainer and entrepreneur.
Local speakers will include Keletsositse Olebile, Botswan Investment and Trade Center Chief Executive Officer, Alan Boshwaen, Botswana Innovation Hub Chief Executive Officer and Bilkiss Moorad, Hollard Managing Director.
Mmolotsi is optimistic that the summit will attract over 400 delegates who share the same vision of creating a generation to embrace change, encourage disruption and lead innovation. He said the idea is to grow and cultivate rich minds in the local society, as a response to the needs of the local market. Meanwhile Thuli Mandonsela will engage local captains of industry and emerging leaders, as a prelude to the summit.
